Each pack of charcoal tablets comes sealed in a foil wrapper and contains 10 tablets. The charcoal is coated with a special material which means that it can be lit with a lighter or possibly a match. The coating sparks across the charcoal surface and then should be left for a few minutes until it has started to heat through. These excelsior tablets are fast lighting, smoke-free, odorless, tasteless and long burning and means they shouldn't interfere with the scent of the incense. The tablets are packed in rolls and are sealed in airtight packets to maintain good combustion properties. To maintain this freshness, opened rolls should be re-sealed and kept in a cool dry place. How to Use: Remove a disc from the sealed roll and place it in a heatproof dish or a pair of tongs. Light the edge of the disc with a match or lighter. The disc will then light across its surface. The disc should be left to burn out and cool in the censer. To extinguish a disc before it has fully cooled, quench in a container of cold water.
