Research reveals that people who increased their daily coffee intake by more than a cup had a 11% lower risk for type 2 diabetes than those who made no changes.

On the other hand, those who decreased their coffee consumption increased their risk by 17%

The reason being is coffee contains chlorogenic acid, which has a blood sugar lowering effect in people with pre-diabetes, or who are at risk of developing it due to their age, weight and lifestyle habits.

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement.

And coffee has been found to help lower your risk for Parkinson's Disease, or at least delay its development.

Positively, several studies have shown that caffeine present in coffee is protective against this disease; individuals who consumed coffee presented a significantly lower rate of progression.

Furthermore, a second compound found in coffee, EHT, works together with caffeine to protect against alpha-synuclein clumps and dopamine neuron loss.

 

4. Lower Blood Pressure and Improve Circulation

Coffee can also help lower your blood pressure and improve circulation throughout the body. 

Briefly speaking, it does so by blocking adenosine receptors on nerve cells that cause vasoconstriction (narrowing) or dilation (widening) of blood vessels.

And depending on what they're contacted with at any given time; when these are blocked up, it causes less fluid buildup around arteries leading to better overall health outcomes!

To put it differently, the caffeine in a cup of coffee can help your small blood vessels work better.

 

5. Lowers Risk of Cancer

Some studies have shown that coffee may play a role in preventing cancer. 

For example, research has suggested that coffee may help prevent liver cancer, skin cancer, and breast cancer.

Moreover, coffee contains chlorogenic acids which have been associated with reduced risk for certain types of cancers including breast and colon cancer.

Specifically, chlorogenic acid has been linked with reducing inflammation and oxidative stress in the liver - leading to a decrease in tumor formation.

  • Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5): 6%
  • Riboflavin (vitamin B2): 11%
  • Niacin (B3) and Thiamine (B1): 2%
  • Potassium and Magnesium: 3%
